Back to school I go @ 16 weeks.

Total weight gain:  9 lbs.
Circumference of stomach:   38 inches.
Maternity clothes:  I finally caved and bought maternity pants.  I can still wear my old pants with the belly band but let me tell you something, NOTHING compares to maternity pants.  Old Navy was having a good sale and everything was less than $30.  Can't beat that!
Sleep:  Body pillow helps a lot.  Still waking up to use the little girls room nightly.
Best moment this week:  We have a doctor appointment Tuesday that I am really excited for because we are getting that much closer to knowing what we are having!  Also our headboard is DONE!  Woohoo!  On to my next project =)
Miss anything:  My memory.  I can hardly remember anything it seems like.  I have to make constant notes for myself...I am convinced that preggo brain is quite real!
Movement:  I have noticed that recently, below my belly button, it will get a little tight and I feel a slight roll/wave.  Only feel it when I am resting.  Hmm...
Food cravings:  Spicy, flaming hot, sweat inducing, lip numbing FOOD.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  I think I might try the tomato again soon...why am I so afraid?!
Gender prediction:  Not this appointment but the next we will know!  I CAN'T WAIT!
Baby purchases:  I bought my diaper bag this week!
Symptoms:  Tired around 7 p.m.  Hungry!  Still have the nasal congestion.  Also have some other issues that we won't get into...don't want to gross any readers out.  However, if you are a mom you can probably guess what I am talking about.  Anything for baby =D
Belly button in or out:  No new change.  Still a weird hole.
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy unless I have gone too long without eating.  Can we say Grumpasaurus?!
Looking forward to:  Doctor on Tuesday.  I used to hate going to the doctor and now I love it.  Finding out about baby and hearing the sweet sound of the heartbeat never gets old.  Plus I always go with a million questions to ask my doctor.  He is ridiculously patient with me.

15 weeks and starving

Total weight gain:  8 lbs.
Circumference of stomach:  Dan thought this would be fun.  37 1/2 inches measuring from my belly button.  That seems like A LOT!
Showing yet:  Uhm yah.
Maternity clothes:  Belly band check...comfy shirts...check...waiting for cooler weather to bust out my new maternity leggings!
Sleep:  Still waking up nightly to pee.  Weird dreams are happening as well...WEIRD dreams...
Best moment this week:  Almost done with our headboard.  Quite excited about it.  Pictures to come soon!
Miss anything:  Have I mentioned sushi?
Movement:  I felt a twitch earlier this week...potentially gas...potentially baby...potentially my imagination...
Food cravings:  Still bagels with cream cheese, lucky charms, spicy anything.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  No but the tomato is still something I have yet to try again.
Gender prediction:  I was at an antique shop with my Mom the other day and as soon as I walked in I saw a framed sign that said, "All Boy:  Frogs and snails and puppy dog tails."  I was so close to buying it but we are still 5 weeks out from knowing for sure.  I just want to know what it is already!!!
Baby purchases:  Nothing yet.  I have been looking and getting ideas for a girl or boy.  I do have my eye on a super cute diaper bag though ;-)
Symptoms:  Tired but not sleepy...my body just gets tired throughout the day.  Headaches, nasal congestion, bloody noses, lower back pain, and still having growing pains daily.  On the plus side all nausea seems to have vanished!
Belly button in or out:  Growing wider but I think it is also becoming shallower...will it pop is the million dollar question.
Wedding rings on or off:  On.  Nothing is swollen.
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy
Looking forward to:  Eating.  I love to eat.  As soon as one meal is finished I think about the next one.  I could really go for some La Madeleine soup and salad right now.

Tribute to Greatness

There are no words to describe how this bag makes me feel.

Sure this post is pointless, however, I find some of my food choices amusing lately.  I used to hate Hot Cheetos.

Baby on the other hand wants to lick the inside of the bag.

Nom.

Hello 2nd Trimester!

Total weight gain:  6 lbs.
Showing yet:  Getting more and more rotund ;-)
Maternity clothes:  Still wearing my own pants with the belly band (I hope this lasts a while because then I don't have to buy maternity pants).
Sleep:  Had to bust out the body pillow this week.  Helps a little.  Daniel laid on it the other day and even said he thought he needed a body pillow ;-)
Best moment this week:  Getting some energy back.  I made it to church and out to eat this week.  WOO!
Miss anything:  Sushi still.  I tried some of the cooked HEB rolls but it's just not the same.  I think I need to try sushi zushi cooked rolls.  At least there they have more variety other than imitation crab (which totally sucks btw).
Movement:  Gas yes.  Baby no.  Still waiting.  Probably going to freak me out when I feel something for the first time though.
Food cravings:  Spicy and salty all the time.  Discovered flaming hot munchies this week.  They could be spicer but overall not bad at all.  Weird because I used to HATE flaming hot Cheetos.  Bagels and cream cheese in the a.m. still.  Great, now I want some munchies...
Anything making you queasy or sick:  I haven't given the tomato another chance...I just can't do it.
Gender prediction:  Still saying boy.  I'd like to fast forward to that appointment please!
Symptoms:  Growing pains (aka: round ligament pains).  Basically it means things are stretching and growing to make room for baby.  They feel like little cramps from time to time.  However, when I sneeze it's game over and I about lose it.  Headaches are also a frequent occurrence.
Belly button in or out:  In but growing wider everyday.  Daniel threw a piece of ice at me the other day and it landed in my belly button.  Yah.  Laugh it up.
Wedding rings on or off:  On and I hope that doesn't change.
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy
Looking forward to:  Cooler weather.  I am so over summer.

13 Weeks

Total weight gain:  5 lbs.  I seriously look like I have a beer gut.
Maternity clothes:  Gotten a few things.  I am in LOVE with the belly band.  It basically keeps your regular pants up without having to button/zip them.  Seriously cool invention.  However when I am home I am in yoga pants or pj's.
Sleep:  Besides waking up nightly to go to the bathroom and then trying to fall back asleep, not bad.  I think this is mother natures way of saying "you won't be sleeping through the night for a while.  Get used to it."
Best moment this week:  Hearing our babies heart beat for the first time.
Miss anything:  Sushi.  I can get cooked rolls but most of my favorites are raw.  Boo.
Movement:  Nothing yet.
Food cravings:  Anything spicy or salty!  If I can get both at the same time it's a home run.  I had jalapeno cream cheese on my everything bagel and was in Heaven.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  The almighty tomato.  I'll pass thanks.
Gender prediction:  I keep saying boy...we will know for sure at 20 weeks.
Labor signs:  Too early.
Symptoms:  Gagging at certain smells or tastes, exhaustion, bloody noses (cute huh), and backaches.
Belly button in or out:  Still in but it has definitely gotten MUCH wider.
Wedding rings on or off:  On =)
Happy or moody most of the time:  I'd say happy although I have had my share of crying spells over absolutely nothing.
Looking forward to:  Getting some energy back and football season starting up...need to invest in a bigger Cowboys jersey!

Here we are...I really should start taking pictures when I look halfway decent and not post shower and pj's ;-)

"Thump Thump"

Yesterday we went to the doctor to hear our babies heartbeat for the first time.

When the doctor put the Doppler on my stomach he giggled and said, "well it's just beating away today isn't it.  168 beats per minute."  I smiled at Daniel and joked that we have an Olympic athlete in training.

We won't be doing a 12 week picture.  We are only a couple days out from being 13 weeks and to be honest sleep and doing nothing has been more important than decorating my chalk board this week ;-)
