20 down 20 to go!

Total weight gain:13 lbs.
Circumference of belly:  Still 39 inches.
Sleep:  Have not had much of that this week.  Constantly getting up and having odd dreams.  Ready to sleep a lot this weekend!
Best moment this week:  Picking out stuff for Alexander!
Miss anything:  My normal workout routine.  I get so winded these days and tired so fast.
Movement:  My favorite part of being pregnant.  Feeling him bounce around!
Food Cravings:  OJ and spicy...I don't foresee this changing anytime soon.  OH!  And pumpkin anything.  Had a pumpkin whoopie pie the other day.  Ah.  Maze.  Ing.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Random smells will sometimes get to me.  Food aversions seem to be gone (had pizza with tomato sauce and enjoyed it).
Baby purchases:  We picked out the paint for the nursery!  It's called "light mist" by Behr.  I love the color.  It is very calming.  Daniel also made a nightstand for the nursery.  Pictures below =)
Symptoms:  Itchy skin!  Cocoa butter has been a very good friend of mine lately.
Belly button in or out:  In
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy...I have my emotional moments when I see something sad or hear of something awful on the news.
Looking forward to:  Painting our nursery this weekend and attempting to sleep.

19 weeks!

Total weight gain:  12 lbs.
Circumference of belly:  39 in.
Maternity clothes:  Getting rid of this topic next week.  We all know I wear them.  We all know I love them.  Moving on...
Sleep:  Not enough.
Best moment this week:  Our sonogram!  Baby is very healthy and is a sweet little boy!  It is so cool being able to call him by his name and saying "son" instead of it =)
Miss anything:  Mmm...Texas sushi rolls with raw salmon...
Movement:  Starting to get bigger kicks.  I had orange juice the other morning and he was going nuts!
Food cravings:  Tried Julio "freaking hot chips" and I think I have finally found a snack worthy to be called HOT.  SO GOOD.  Also orange juice...without pulp...it grosses me out.  Daniel likes it so we have a constant OJ battle in our house.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  My school decided to paint its walls...which was super great for this lady.  Leaving my classroom I would gag constantly.  Good times.
Gender:  BOY BOY BOY!
Baby purchases:  We started our registries this week.  Decided to do Babies R Us and Target.  Actually...I had already started one but not much was on it because I waiting for the gender.  Baby registries are actually kind of stressful I feel...lots of options and I want to choose whats best for our child.  Daniel also surprised me and bought him his first little outfit from Babies R Us.  I do have an amazing hubby.
Symptoms:  Dry eyes!  Holy cow they hurt.  They feel much better when I have my contacts in but my left eye feels like I scratched it when I take my contacts out.  Not fun.
Belly button in or out:  Innie.
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Looking forward to:  This weekend.  I plan on sleeping.  A lot.

Alexanders first outfit!

Daniel came home tonight and surprised me with a little something he bought while out running around for work today. Here is Alex's first outfit.  I LOVE it!  Nice and warm for cool February weather (which in Texas will be like in the 60s).

Our sweet little guy =)

Today was our sonogram and it was SUPER fun (except the drinking 32 oz of water and not being able to pee).  They did tell me my bladder was crazy full and I could empty it which was fantastic.

We got to see everything about our sweet little baby.  He was moving like crazy!  We saw all four chambers of the heart, all the toes, fingers (he even gave us a thumbs up lol), spine, brain, face, ribs, limbs, etc etc etc.  It was so cool seeing and hearing about how our baby is developing and our baby is very healthy.  Our baby is measuring right on track at 19 weeks and is about 10 ounces with a heartbeat of 158 bpm.

We got asked if we wanted to know if it was a he or she and of course we said yes.  All along I have thought it was a boy.  I had dreams it was a boy and just an overall feeling.  Sure enough I WAS RIGHT!  We are having a BOY!  I cried so many tears finally knowing what our baby was (more importantly though that he is healthy).  We even laughed when our tech told us that our baby wanted us to know for sure that he was a boy and he was SO not shy about hiding that little fact at all haha!

For those that are wondering we have had two names picked out for a while.  Our sweet baby will be named after his amazing daddy Daniel Alexander Barnes.  He will go by Alexander.  Daniel is very excited to have a mini me =)

Here are some sweet pictures of our little Alexander!

Need a bigger jersey @ 18 weeks

Total weight gain:  11 lbs.  So far it has been about a pound a week.  I'm not sure how with my appetite though.
Circumference of belly:  38 1/2 in.
Maternity clothes:  One word.  Comfy.  I'd be even more comfy if we had some weather in the 60s.  I'm sick of summer.
Sleep:  Nothing new here except I like to be in bed by 7 p.m. now.  Even if I am not asleep yet I am in bed by 7.
Best moment this week:  Football season started AND the Cowboys won their first game against the Giants IN Giant stadium.  To all you haters: hate all you want.  I am a proud Cowboys fan!
Miss anything:  Afternoon naps.
Movement:  Popping at night and have felt it a little during the day.  Sometimes it reminds me of bubbles and other times reminds me of popcorn.
Food cravings:  I put Texas Pete on ALREADY spicy chicken tenders, jalapenos on bagels, and hot sauce on broccoli.  Did I mention I ate a jar of jalapenos in under a week?
Anything making you queasy or sick:  The hallway at school the other day smelled like rotten eggs.  Gag.
Gender prediction:  Counting down to the big reveal!
Baby purchases:  None this week.  Is it odd if I use my baby bag now with no baby?
Symptoms:  Headaches at the end of the day.  No bueno.  Also my unending appetite.  All the other symptoms are still in full swing.
Belly button in or out:  Still in and the hole is still growing.  Crater much?
Wedding rings on or off:  On and they don't feel the least bit tight.
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy.  I do get emotional about random things but it isn't very often.  I also am a constant worrier but I have gotten much better over the last month or so.
Looking forward to:  Sonogram in just 5 days!

Poppin' at 17 weeks!

Total weight gain:  10 lbs.
Circumference of belly:  38 inches.
Maternity clothes:  Wore my new pants this week.  WHAT A DIFFERENCE!  I will continue to wear my old pants until I can't anymore but I have a feeling that day is coming sooner rather than later.
Sleep:  Good.  Had a dream about our upcoming sonogram and we saw a boy...a cartoon boy...and it was in a movie theater...weird.
Best moments this week:  Appointment went great and everything looks right on track.  Heartbeat was rocking at 160 bpm.  Scheduled our sonogram for September 11 at 2:30.  Also our headboard is complete!  I am in love with how it turned out.  Kudos to the hubby!
Miss anything:  My summer morning ritual of laying on the couch and watching trash TV while eating bagels.  Mmm...bagels...
Movement:  Baby is pretty active at night when I am laying down and resting.  Feels like something is popping in my stomach and it is not gas.  Daniel could even feel baby moving and grooving!
Food cravings:  I HAD to have a brownie the other night.  A warm brownie.  Yogurt has been another go-to snack lately.  Spicy is a daily occurrence.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  I walked past some Parmesan cheese in HEB today and thought I would hurl.  Smelled like feet.  Awful.
Gender prediction:  T-minus 10 days until we know.
Baby purchases: Diaper bag came today!  Next we will be choosing paint colors =)
Symptoms:  Nothing new except the movement.  Feeling it more and more each day.
Belly button in or out:  In.  For now.
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Happy or moody most of the time:  Happy but grumpy when my alarm goes off at 5:30 a.m.
Looking forward to:  Being off for three days this weekend...much needed.

Here is our headboard.  I don't care if it isn't a baby related picture.  I love it.  It rocks.

Here we are at 17 weeks.  Looking pretty pointy.

My Vera Bradley diaper bag!  I highly recommend it.  I wanted something that would double as a diaper bag/purse so I needed something durable with lots of compartments.  It also didn't hurt that it was on sale and I had a coupon to spend (love me a great bargain).  It is 100% cotton with a zippered back, magnetic front with three pockets and pacifier clip, two pockets on the sides, a waterproof lining inside, a matching changing pad, AND the whole bag is totally washable.  LOVE LOVE LOVE.  Daniel refuses to carry this bag...too bright and colorful for him so he will be getting a plain, boring, black one (yawn).
